1. How do I subscribe?

- You must first create your username and password by completing the form

- When you have completed the form you can see your profile and subscribe to the subscription of your choice. Click here to access your profile.
- Afterwards, you need to choose the subscription for you or your school and follow the payment instructions.
- To access the whole site, just click on "Members' zone " situated on the left side of all pages.

Et voilà, c'est fini ! Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser French in a Click.

2. How do I access French in a Click's content?

First of all, welcome to French in a Click and thank you for becoming a member.

To access French in a Click's members area, you need to click on "Members' zone". This is the button that you can find on the top left of all main pages.

If you are not a school and you paid by cheque, you can speed up the process by creating your own username and password. Follow the instruction given in question One. You will have to fill in a form. If you have already created a username and password, you can click on "Your Profile " to choose the subscription that suits you best.

3. How does the top menu works?

You need to use the top menu to be able to navigate within the unit. you will see "Apprends", "Pratique", "Renforce" and "Joue" at all times to help you navigate between lessons and exercises.

4. How can I increase or decrease the size of the font?

Netscape Navigator 4+ users:

Select 'Edit' from the menu bar
Select 'Preferences'
Select 'Appearance'
Select 'Font'.
Change the 'variable' and 'fixed width font' to your preferred option.

Microsoft Internet Explorer users:

Using the menu bar at the top of the window select 'View'
Click on "Text size"
Choose the right font for you; either smallest, smaller, medium, bigger or biggest

Firefox users:

Using the menu bar at the top of the window select 'View'
Click on "Text size"
Select "Increase" or "Decrease" options

5. How can I see the translation of the French menus within the units?

Make sure you use your mouse. You just need to put the cursor on top of the French menu to see the English translation.

Be careful, French texts are not translated for educational purposes. You need to use your reading skills.

6. Why are there matching and dragging exercises?

French in a Click gives you the choice as far as matching exercises are concerned. The button will have matching exercises and the button will have dragging exercises. The reasons behind these are just for the student's personal preferences but it also gives the teacher the possibility to use the interactivity of the white board with the dragging exercises.

7. I can't see the top sub-menu?

It is possible that when you click on "grammar" that the menu won't appear underneath. The reason is that the menu bar is in fact still downloading the pictures used in that menu. It usually happens when you first use French in a Click and that the pictures have never been downloaded.

You can do two things, first wait a little bit before clicking on "grammar" or you can click on "text only" which does not use any pictures at all. You can also click again on "grammar" and it should appear.

8. I have subscribed to French in a Click but I can only see the preview sections. Why?

It means you are not accessing the right section of the site. You need to click on "Members' zone" from the left hand side of all main pages.
