Johann Le Calvez

I was born in Saint-Brieuc in Brittany, France. I studied for my degrees in Rennes, France, in Greensboro, USA and in Bristol, England.

I taught French and IT at Wadham Community School in Somerset from 2000 to 2004. While teaching, I started to create an interactive website for my students at school. I decided to work part-time to develop French in a Click from January 2004 and then spent the next year working full time on the site.

In August 2005, I was appointed Content Producer at BBC Languages to project manage their brand new video-based French learning project called "Ma France", which launched in July 2006.


I'm still working on new content for BBC languages and for the development of French in a Click.

Delphine Désard

Delphine is also from Brittany but was born in Lorient. She studied for her degrees in Lorient and in Rennes, France, in Rochester, USA and in Bristol.

Delphine taught French and Spanish at Bruton School for Girls from 2000 to 2004. She was appointed Assistant Content Producer at the BBC and worked on the KS3 and KS4 French projects for BBC Jam until summer 2007.

She worked on the new French grammar content for BBC Bitesize and has now joined Espresso in London.

Pascal Chemin who helped us developing the site as well as some of the Flash elements of French in a Click. Pascal also built the dictionary who is a major addition to the site.

Pierrot Hervéic who has been taking a lot pictures to illustrate activities and vocabulary on the site. There are still plenty to be added to French in a Click.
